Auf Abwægen

Einkaufswagen sind ein unverzichtbares Utensil des Alltags. Ihnen kommt im täglichen Gebrauch jedoch auch eine Bedeutung im öffentlichen Bild einer Stadt zu.

Unfreiwillig prägen entwendete und zurückgelassene Exemplare unweigerlich das Bild einer Sadt. Durch ihre Präsenz auf Straßen und Gehwegen werden sie zu einem Teil der Öffentlichkeit.
Abseits der Verwahrlosung deuten sie im alternativ genutzten Zustand auf einen weiteren Umstand hin. Sie erweitern ihren Gebrauch für wohnungslose Bewohner*innen der Stadt zu Transportmitteln für Hab und Gut. Interessanterweise wird hier ein eigentlich privater Gegenstand durch Rekodierung zu einem kollektiven Objekt, welches von verschiedenen Gruppen in der städtischen Gemeinschaft Verwendung findet. Der Einkaufswagen befindet sich als alltägliches Objekt in einem Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Hilfsmittel und Störelement.
