Wie gestaltete Dinge sensitive Handlungsräume formen

Wen oder was berührst du im Laufe deines Tages am häufigsten? Wer liegt nachts neben dir? Und wann hast du eigentlich deine Kaffeemühle das letzte mal in den Arm genommen?

Konsum basiert heutzutage weniger auf Notwendigkeiten als auf Sehnsüchten, die uns von verschiedenen Seiten vermittelt werden. Dabei rückt die Wichtigkeit, Dinge als das zu sehen, was sie sind, und nicht als das, was mit ihnen versprochen wird, wieder vermehrt in den Fokus. Produkte bieten nicht nur allein Funktionen, sondern zusätzlich auch Emotionen und Erlebnisse.

Wir besitzen immer mehr Dinge und haben in direkter Konsequenz gleichzeitig weniger Zeit, sie zu nutzen. Mittels Critical Design hinterfragen wir die Rolle von Gegenständen im Alltag. Ein Beispiel dafür ist "Heart Beans", eine Kaffeemühle, die den Puls des Benutzers nutzt, um Kaffeebohnen zu mahlen.

In einer Zeit, in der es notwendig ist, Rohstoffverbrauche zu verringern und nachhaltiger zu leben, sollten wir unsere Beziehung zu Besitztümern überdenken. Ziel des Essays ist es zu reflektieren, wie wir mit den Dingen um uns herum umgehen und wie wir eine sinnvollere und nachhaltigere Verbindung zu ihnen aufbauen können.
